Yonex brings precision stringing to the Australian Open

Yonex is excited to once again serve as the Official Stringer of the Australian Open. Our global team work tirelessly and meticulously to prepare the all players’ racquets for each match. During its first two years, the Yonex Stringing Team has set a record in tournament stringing with 5,460 restrings and on its busiest day performing 544 restrings, both records for the most ever of any tournament to date. This level of speed and accuracy is built on the team’s extensive experience, which includes stringing at the Beijing, London and Rio Olympics, along with a great number of other events around the world.

Each technician on the team is devoted to providing top-level stringing to support the world’s best, working from the early hours of the morning to late at night. Normally hidden from the public, tournament stringers are some of the unsung heroes behind the Australian Open. Be sure to come visit us in the Stringers’ Hut to see our craft and pride in being part of the 'Happy Slam.'
